Full Mouth Restoration Allows Patient to Eat Normally for the First Time in Years

Jim had not been able to eat normally in several years due to severely loose and crowded teeth. He missed being able to eat all of his favorite foods, including pizza and steak, due to not being able to bite into them.

After coming to Leesburg Family and Cosmetic Dentistry to explore his treatment options, Dr. Kime Whitman determined that Jim required a full mouth restoration to restore both his appearance and his teeth.

Since his natural teeth were loose, they could not be restored and required extractions. After completing the extractions and allowing time for healing, Dr. Kime Whitman worked with an oral surgery specialist to successfully place 10 dental implants and temporary dentures.

The final stage of the process was when Jim received his final prosthesis, which was made of ceramic zirconia and designed to fit securely and seamlessly onto the 10 implants—six on the top arch and four on the bottom.

At the end of the process, Jim had a fully functional and natural-looking smile that allowed him to comfortably eat and enjoy all his favorite foods. He was smiling from ear to ear and happy to eat normally again!
