Dental Bonding Restores Patient’s Chipped Front Teeth

Chipped teeth can significantly impact the appearance of a smile, especially when there are numerous chips or multiple teeth affected. Dr. Kime Whitman and her team worked with a patient who had chipped edges on his front teeth from old nail-biting habits. Since the chips were very visible, the patient wanted to restore his smile and his self-confidence by getting them fixed.

The patient was an excellent candidate for dental bonding, a procedure which uses composite resin, the same material used in tooth-colored fillings, to fill in chips and restore the teeth. After a good cleaning and some minor bonding, Dr. Kime Whitman was able to hide the chips without additional treatments such as dental crowns and veneers.

After the procedure, the patient was so pleased with the outcome: “I feel like a new person!” He emailed and called the Leesburg Family and Cosmetic Dentistry team back to thank them again and let them know that it had been years since his smile had looked so good — and all with a non-invasive procedure that only took one appointment!
